If BB was on HBO, it would be even better. Even with it's limitations because of cable, it is one of the top shows of all time.

Love Breaking Bad, but have to disagree.

The Wire is the greatest TV show ever, and possibility the greatest work of art ever.

BB would currently be 4th or 5th on my all-time TV show list behind The Wire, Arrested Development, Seinfeld, and maybe The Shield.

I like The Office. The first four seasons were comedy genius.

I think for any show to be considered for this thread, the series needs to be done and over with. Anything still ongoing shouldn't qualify bc you have no idea how it will end which could change your opinion. I agree BB and WD are both excellent but I will wait to see where they stack up against other shows like The Wire, Sopranos, and Seinfeld.

GOT will surpass all by the series finale, given faithful adherence to the books

it doesn't matter how walking dead ends, it will never be on the same level as any of those shows

I love GOT and think it's an incredible series. However, the show can be fairly confusing to people who haven't read the books. Because of that, I feel that Boardwalk Empire is a slightly better series at the moment. I haven't read the books, so I do not know how it ends.

But Boardwalk and GOT are probably the top 2 series still on the air today.

Of all time? No way.

I tried to get into it and just couldn't. Don't know what it is. I'm in the minority, I know, but it didn't do anything for me.

I got through half of season one and had enough. So we're making drugs, the guy has lung cancer so he doesn't give a crap anymore, the other dude is a drughead......

Too much drug usage, I guess for me.

Not knocking those who really like it, it just didn't do much for me.

I think it has a better plot, they both deliver incredible pacing, great character development, and they make reasonable decisions in tough situations. Its not a huge disparity, but for me, WD is slightly better.

It must be your personal preference for crack over meth, because you must be smoking something significant to not be able to get into Breaking Bad.

As for Walking Dead, I like it but it's nowhere near Breaking Bad yet. This season does hold a lot of potential though from what I read in the comics.

And Game of Thrones could surpass them all in my mind, though this all depends on how Martin finishes the story (The fat bastard better not die before he finishes it).

I understand what you're saying, I had to "power through" the middle of season one but I was rewarded for my patience. To me it is the best show on TV right now.
