In my opinion, I think it is safe to say that Arya and Jamie are the two most well developed characters in GRRM's arsenal. No other characters have transformed as significantly as they have.

Arya's journey is easily my favorite story in the series. I hope GRRM doesn't die before he is able to release the next book. Her upcoming apprenticeship should be awesome. I hope they bring Jaqen H'ghar or Syrio back.

Jamie's transformation is really in a league of its own. He has become more of an honorable man over the course of his story. What does GRRM have in store for us with Jamie? He has become more of a Ned Stark in relation to honor than he was before.

Did we need another GoT thread? Probably not, but IDGAF.

Arya rules.

I posted this in another thread:

quote:

I think Jamie will be the one that ends up killing Cersie.

Maggy prophesied:
"Gold shall be their crowns, and gold their shrouds. And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you."

Valonqar is High Valyrian for "little brother".

Cersie thinks that means Tyrion, but it was remarked fairly early on that Jamie was born holding on to Cersie's ankle which makes him the "little brother".

Get ready to be let down. The Mayan prophecy is about him. RIP GRRM.

It's letting everyone know they are still alive. Which in this series, is definitely a spoiler I wouldn't worry about it though. Change it to Book Reader Spoilers if you feel like it.

I haven't read the thread, but it reads like Arya and Jamie are alive up to/thru the fifth book.

He'll probably kill him in the 5th chapter of the new book.... I mean, just to stay with his writing style. Who else is alive that he can kill off?

You think Martin has written a single prophecy that will go down the way you expect it to?

A guy at work has that same theory. I'm reading book 4 right now and that bitch is out of control. I can't decide if she put up with Joffrey's cruelty because she loved him, or, because she needed him to be King so she would have the power.

I know what you are saying, just thought it was a funny response to the prophecy. I mean "technically" if Jamie is wearing his gold hand and put that on her throat as well, he is choking her with his hands.

There's still time for Victor Von Franken...I mean Qyburn to work his mojo and Give Jamie a working hand.

What about Tommen? He is also the "little brother" and, unlike Jamie, he has both his hands.

Well if we go with any "little brothers" then the options are:

Tommen
Bran
Rickon
The Hound
Loras Tyrell
