I got my start reading novels with Salvatore's Dark Elf series back in the early-mid 90's and quickly sped through whatever other books were set in the FR world. Over the past couple of decades I've enjoyed the various titles quite a bit. The other night I realized I was just about at the end of the latest one (which is kinda "meh" but not bad) and decided to see what is coming up next and when.

According to the interwebz only 2 FR books are slated for release this year (as opposed to the normal 6-10 of years past). I haven't been able to find any info with The Oracle (ie: Google :p). Does anyone here know anything about it?

I guess D&D just isn't as popular?

I miss Shadowrun and Battletech novels, but FASA doesn't really have a publishing company anymore. Sucks.

Blame World of Warcraft.

I read every new Salvatore book that comes out I've strayed away from the rest over the last ten years. I'm not even sure where the lore is. We are trying to start a new D&D campaign in the FR but all of us are old with kids and not a lot of free time anymore.
