Of the two, I'd go with Bonanza. However I'm a High Chaparral fan myself. Been watching it a lot lately with a new appreciation. Seems more authentic since it was actually shot in the Tucson area.

Bonanza was always my favorite. made the wife go with me on my honeymoon to the original exterior set of Bonanza in Lake Tahoe. Awesome location with the original ranch house and "Virginia City" set location all in one place.

Big valley.

They were rich and powerful. Knew it and acted like it.

Bonanza was liberal rich. Even had a chinese slave cooking for them

Oh and they had Candy. Mmm Hmm. Know what I mean.
