The Wire is next for me. Really looking forward to it, although I am worried it can live up to all the hype I've seen on here and in other places.

Deadwood is awesome and probably could've been in the GOAT conversation if it had been allowed to fully run its course.
I love Boardwalk. It's a top-10 all time show for me. Beautifully done.

The Wire is the only one of these I have seen. Just started S4. It is a solid show.

The Wire is considered the great American novel of television. Like someone said it will give you a little understanding of what the people of west Baltimore are going through. If you want to dive a little deeper, I also suggest reading Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets. There is also The Corner miniseries and book but I have not seen or read either, so that you'll have to discover on your own.

I just watched all seasons of The Wire recently and I think it is very overrated. It is heavily based on character development and the story is painfully slow developing after Season 1. Each season just seemed to be a "rinse-wash-repeat" of season one.

Deadwood is ok, but has no range compared to the other 2. It's the same shite every episode

Deadwood was my favorite so far but it needed another season.
I enjoyed Boardwalk but was glad it finally wrapped up.
I have only seen the first season of The Wire and am just starting on season 2 but really can't get into this second season. I'll probably push through and see if season 3 is better.
