Blast from the Past is a good movie and really funny.

Christopher Walker is hilarious in the first half of the movie.
Brendan Frasier was such a grear comedic actor, a consumately likable screen presence. Bums me out that he didn't keep it up- The Mummy is one of my favorite movies.
The first half was better than the second half imo and the whole thing turns into a sappy rom com towards the end, but the concept of these people being stuck in time for 35 years is really cool.
Also Alicia Silverstone is a hottie.
As a bonus, here my favorite Brendan Frasier flicks:
The Mummy
Bedazzled
Blast From the Past
George of the Jungle
Dudley Do Right
Looney Tunes Back in Action- genuinely a very funny movie IMO.

Seems pretty funny but I've never seen the whole thing, just bits and pieces on tv- so I must reserve judgement.

The Mummy and George of the Jungle were regular parts of my childhood / youth.
Also loved his appearances in Scrubs.

I always found this to be an entertaining movie.

I didn't see it until it made it to cable. Thought it was pretty good. I agree with you about the scenes with mom and, especially dad, being the best parts of the movie.
Am I the only person that likes The Quiet American (2002). His character isn't as interesting as Michael Caine's. I love the setting and plot of that movie. I've always enjoyed living on the edge. That expatriate, enjoy the spoils, lifestyle appeals to an old man like me more and more every day. I need a Phuong of my own.

"Here ya go, one champagne cocktail."
"I thought only hookers drank those things?"
"Well, I know Mom sure likes 'em."
One of my favorite lines from any movie

I 100% agree about The Mummy. The ride at Universal is pretty stout as well.
I also agree that Frasier is a very good actor.
I also liked him in With Honors, but Pesci overshadowed him. Naturally. But that wasn't his fault.

Bumping this because I watched the movie on HBO Max over the weekend and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. They didn't play Frasier as a complete idiot and they didn't amp the cruelty against him to absurd levels.
Plus Walken and Spacek gave perfect performances.
