This board is mostly shite now, but I know we can all agree on this one

I finally got around to Season 3 and it's the best one so far.

Find me a show that's more frightening

Nosedive is so perfect. The last episode doesn't quite work, but it's a competent police procedural at least. Though we just wrapped Penny Dreadful, which I think is a more terrifying show if you like gothic horror.

But yes, Black Mirror is flat out brilliant.

San Junipero was amazing. My favorite episode of the S3.

The Entire History of You is still my favorite episode though. That episode was just too real and so brutal.

Still haven't watched the final episode yet. But Shut Up and Dance is a top three BM episode for me.

And SP, you are crazy, bruh....this remains easily and by far the best board on TD.

San Junipero is brilliant and gut wrenching. Nosedive very good too.

A great season overall.

Netflix isn't considered 'television'. This isn't something the mass public has access to.

You're an idiot.

But yeah, I like the show. Definitely not the GOAT or anything, but I'm entertained every time I watch it.

The feeling, at least that I get from each episode, is that it kind of mocks our reliability upon technology and shows the worst things that come from the advancement of tech.

It mocks our modern day society and the things we value and strive for.

Just stick with it. Each episode is a different story line. The entire history of you is my favorite episode - it's one of the more haunting pieces of television I've ever seen.

**Kinda Spoiler**

The "gotcha" moment with the art at the end was as incredible flip. So well done.

This is a common criticism, but I disagree. I'll use the Entire History of You as an example, since many people list it as a favorite. Sure, the technology allows him to obsess over every detail and then discover his friend's betrayal (trying to be cryptic here), but honestly... his problem isn't technology, it's himself. He could be just as obsessive without the bean and with today's technology. Or even without technology at all.

It's really a story about a guy who cannot let go of the past, and then is haunted by it. It's very Mayor of Casterbridge (Poseur, whipping out the Thomas Hardy references!). Tech is only a tool. At the end of the day, it is about the person using that tool.

What about Nosedive where a person's class is dictated by their social media score?

I am surprised by all the love for Nosedive

I thought it was the worst episode of the entire series.

It isn't a criticism, I like that it does that.

but I disagree

Regardless, you make a fine point. It still a tech/social based show though.

I loved Nosedive till the end.

I got it. It just didn't connect with me in the way I thought it was meant to

I liked that episode, but I feel like everyone likes that she was busted...like it justifies jealousy.

I am not a jealous type and hate that trait in anyone so I hated seeing his jealousy justified.

Still not that different from now. People with "better" friends and contacts will do better in life. And some people, like her brother, will figure out ways to game the system and have a happy life without having to engage in the game. The game of social etiquette has always existed.

The show is partly about technology of course, but it's really about people.

My gf and I were both interviewing for different jobs the week that we watched this one. Sort of killed me because I became very self-aware of the fakeness of the entire situation.

What I enjoy about the tech aspect is the how the show runners are building a world.

This is such a perfect show to ignore the episode descriptions and go into each story completely blind. The writers are phenomenal at pacing out the developments and reveals as to what is actually occurring. Personal favorite is probably 'White Bear' with 'San Junipero' and 'Hated In the Nation' being right on it's heels. Season 3 finished up very strongly.

eta: oops
