would be tough to top the will and boogie diaries. But, the ducks could have been fun. Although i got tired of paul's voice after day 1.

did Paul point out Nicole got to learn from her mistakes and that he had to learn on the fly? That's the biggest thing to me. Paul outplayed her on his first try?

The worst part of all this to me isn't that someone won that I don't like and wasn't as deserving as the other guy, it's that for the rest of her life Nicole will actually think that she is some sort of tremendous mastermind player by winning big brother. Yes, she did actually win a few things VERY late in the process, kudos there. But this is 2 seasons now where the overwhelming majority of the time she didn't do jack shite but cuddle up with a dude and not much of anything else. You know she's mentally trying to rank herself compared to derrick, will, and a host of other great players and thinkign about where she stacks up. And the answer is nowhere, she doesnt' even deserve to be mentioned with those guys who actually played the game and did it brilliantly.

I still can't believe she won. Hard to feel that bad for Paul though. No idea why he wouldn't take James to final 2. It's not like he didn't have time to come up with a calculated decision on who to take, he just got arrogant.

He had to know that Corey, Paulie and Z were definite votes. He had to know that Natalie's dumb arse wouldn't vote for him because he's such a meanie. That's 4 he should've known would vote for Nicole.

Did he really feel confident that Da (fellow vet with Nicole), Bridgette (toss up), James (toss up), Michelle (toss up - you called her a count on national TV) would ALL vote for him?

He had 1 sure thing in Victor. He HAD to think about how little James did in the house and how easy he would have beat him. Cost himself $450,000 but his business will probably take off.

That's the thing, he had no clue. He is arrogant as all get up and thinks he is smarter than everyone else. I always disliked Paul, but respected how good of a game he was playing. He let his true self make that final decision and it was an all time worst decision in BB history. His look of shock and disgust shows it all, he had no idea he was going to lose.

Didn't paul only watch half of last season of BB, and that's his only previous exposure to the show?

You'd think ANYONE that has watched ANY finale of big brother would easily understand why james is the only play you make there. I think Paul thought (which might be understandable) that the jury would do as they SHOULD and vote for the better game player, in which case he should have won handily. But it's almost like he has ZERO clue that people take things personal and will vote for spite (or their own gender, just because). I still can't believe he threw $450,000 down the toilet just to send a message that james wasn't deserving of final 2.

Which is just as idiotic as his decision last night. Going on a show with a chance to win 500k and he watched half a season to research it.

They do swoop in and get them immediately after they tell them they'll be on the show. But then they take them to sequester for like a week or two before they go into the house. While in sequester they are able to what past seasons (I think most of the newbies watched Derrick's (and thus Nicole's) season).

Paul's fatal decision is just one error he made based on one of his biggest game flaws. His biggest flaw was this sense of loyalty and/or justice that he thought people are due in the game.

Him and Vic both suffered from this. That is why they were so blindsided when Corey put them on the block over James. It didn't even dawn on them that the best play for Corey & Nicole's game was to breakup them up. If they would've understood the principle of making moves that best serve your endgame, they would've targeted Corey and Nicole the week Vic was in power, instead of putting up James and Nat since Corey and Nicole were the far more dangerous players.

Paul just never seemed to grasp that loyalty only goes as far as when its in peoples best interest. The minute it is no longer in your best interest, it is time to cut the loyalty.

Bingo, think back to some of his big rants early in the season regarding plans changing. He never quite got that for most people the goal of the game isn't to be loyal to the end. The night he went off on Frank for campaigning to get himself off the block was a perfect example.

i don't think paul ever understood the game. bitching at frank for trying to talk the girl into using the video on him.

he said he evicted james for making a deal with nicole when he himself made deals with both james and nicole.

Considering how many of the female players kept on about "GIRL POWER" early on in that season...you think he would have seriously considered the fact that a jury house that is majority female....would make their votes to have a woman finally win in a final 2 with a man.

Ian sure as hell didn't waist any time to cash in on Meech's fascination with him.
