Man, I really wish I could watch some old eps of The Fall Guy.

MPI, MacGyver, Miami Vice, Air Wolf, A-Team are easily accessible on Netflix.

If Magnum doesn't win the whole thing I'm calling shenanigans.

I was going through every 80's debut action show and missed it.

I probably would have put it as the 15th or 16th seed.

Sledgehammer wouldn't have belonged in this category anyways.

Sledgehammer belongs in the "subversive, totally-awesome cult comedy" category.

I remember liking that show...and still remember that guy accidentally killing himself by shooting himself in the head with blanks.

Before the internet became a thing... I tried to remember that guy's name for like 5 years. It bugged the shite out of me. I knew he had a normal first name and it had a dash in it... and the show he was on when it happened had "I Need A Hero" as its theme song. Drove me nuts until I figured it out.

ETA:

Shame... He was a good-lookin' guy.

I thought about Voyagers, but left it out..

The guy who played Phineas Bogg was killed by the packing of a blank filming a movie scene.

I liked the show as well.

Yep. That was a great intro.

Jennifer O'Neil...I guess she would be on Cougar Town now.

Round 1:

(1) Magnum PI vs (16) China Beach Calling CB an "action show" is a stretch.

(2) MacGyver vs (15) Riptide

(3) Miami Vice vs (14) Blue Thunder That's a tough one especially for such a high seed.

(4) Star Trek: Next Gen vs (13) The Fall Guy

(5) A-Team vs (12) Remington Steele No vote. They both sucked.

(6) Knight Rider vs (11) Simon & Simon

(7) Airwolf vs (10) Hunter No vote, they both sucked.

(8) Quantum Leap vs (9) Greatest American Hero You are a flaming homo if you vote otherwise.

i got the whole box series of Miami Vice for Christams last year. that show was a favorite of mine even as a young kid.

Looking back, the first couple of seasons were so clever and innovative. The season where Zito dies was when I thought it started to drop off(not because of his death though). I did like his character though. That episode later on where Trudy has a close enounter with aliens was terrible. But the first two seasons of that show were brilliant.

China Beach clip comments reminded me of the more action Vietnam show:

Tour of Duty

(Don't know if that was considered)
