The Staircase was very interesting and worth watching. But the filmmakers weren't "slanted", they were downright dishonest. If you do a little research, you'll be surprised at things that were omitted. That said, I thought the prosecutors were assholes.

ETA: Peterson was creepy from the jump. I liked his lawyer and the preparation for trial.
