I'd stick my dick in her mouth because that's all it's good for

I've never cared about the Oscars.

La La Land looks like another self-important, Hollywood masturbation fest,
Have you seen it?
I hate musicals, but decided to see it after all the glowing reviews.
Easily one of the best movies I have ever seen.

Used to watch a long time ago. Was pissed when Ghandi beat out Raiders for Best Picture back in 82. Gave up on them when Shakespeare in Love beat Saving Private Ryan.

La La Land was a fun film that really captured the feel of the silver age musicals for me. I loved it and I'm pulling for it.
I'm going to watch.
I'm going to watch.

I give us much of a shite as I always have.

I'll be watching Walking Dead, and the Oscars won't be given a second thought.

I've watched and enjoyed the Golden Globes and Oscars every year for the last 20 years or so, and I will likely continue to do so. And I will not apologize.

This year? Who on this board honestly gives a shite on any year?
Posted on 2/26/17 at 12:58 pm to blueboy
Yes, because my apartment complex has a competition that gets you free movie tickets for placing. Now I don't have tv so I don't think I will be able to watch; but that's another issue.

Don't care about any of it.

And after last year's bruhah - Fences, Moonlight or Hidden Figures will win best picture.
Hidden figures doesn't deserve shite. The acting was average and the story is just strongly embellished propaganda bullshite - just like The Butler.

I usually miss the Oscar's because I forget about them, but I'll watch this year just to see why everyone seems so angry about them.
Posted on 2/26/17 at 2:24 pm to blueboy
People guarantee to win base on the color of their skin and not how good of a job they done. So nope not really.

They all suck donkey dicks but the Grammys are just plain torture. IMO it is far and away the worst.

Moonlight
If any of these win over La La Land, The Arrival, or Manchester by the Sea it will be strictly a political move. Moonlight is garbage, Hidden Figures is average at best and uses a shite ton of artistic license, Fences is the best of the 3 and that is strictly on the back of Denzel's performance. If he won best actor I would not be surprised.

They addressed this by saying...well it's a movie, we can't show ALL the people involved in NASA during that time.
They made it more dramatic - you have to - who wants to watch a bunch of people do math no matter what color you are?
But...
Movie sort of made out that NASA was one room of white dudes who didn't know much...and one room of black women who knew everything.
And that was NASA...
Although they do say, John Glen did ask for what's her name on the launch pad for the trajectory before his first orbit and she calculated it.
Here's the real Katherine Johnson by the way:
The movie isn't propaganda - these women existed and did their job - but it's highly stylized and connects big important events to the main characters - as a LOT of biopics do...to dramatize.
