It will blow your mind.

Edgar Wright is one of the best working directors. I love that man's movies.

I thought the worlds end was kind of a dud but this looks great.

The World's End isn't as funny as say Hot Fuzz and Scott Pilgrim, but it was a brilliant comedy on drunkenness, rehab, nostalgia, and aging. It's really one of the smartest comedies of the century.

When you watch it a second time, you realize most of the punchlines were actually set up in the second half of the movie and are designed to pay off in a rewatch of the first half. Like the 5 Musketeers gag or literally painting the town red.

And Gary King is definitely the best character Pegg or Wright have come up with yet.

It's because he makes good smart movies that are layered upon layered with subtle punchlines and references. Like this scene has references to like 25 action movies in 2 minutes: Mindless Violence

As an official white knighter for Drive, this doesn't even make sense. Drive is a much more "hipster" type of movie that allows the scenary to move the plot rather than usual movie writing techniques

It's clear from Wright's entire filmography that he's a huge fan of schlock. I don't think he's all that much of a movie snob himself. He dedicated an entire film to glorifying Bad Boys 2 for god's sake. So yeah, Wright does attract those types of fans as well.

Can't wait to see this!

There better be a joke thrown in there about not putting Baby in a corner.
