To those who have AT&T Uverse, are you happy with the service?

I've just been notified that it's availabe in my area, and since I bundle my home phone, internet, and cell phone with AT&T already, I figure it might save me some money and be a better service than Dish Network.

Thoughts/opinions? TIA.

we've been with them for 2 years now with no complains. switched over from the local cable company. overall quality and consistency of service have been much better with Uverse than my old cable company (Sudden link).

we have internet and cable service, plus do quite a bit of streaming from netflix. never had any issues with speed or quality of pictures.

I love U-Verse. Had it for about two years, and have had almost zero problems. My favorite of any cable company, and I've had them all.

We have our cell phones, internet, and cable all with AT&T, they own our arse.

same review as everyone else. We have it and love it. I personally like the small things about it. The ability to see the small screen at the bottom when scanning whats on and it also telling you how much time is left in the show, so you don't need to use the guide. The way there is no delay when switching channels, it just goes right to it.

Do it. You will not be disappointed. I've had it for about a year and have had no problems.

I used to have it, and its the best there is. My only complaint is where you can get it. I moved about a mile down the road from where I had it and now its not available.

I've had it for almost 2 years with no issues to speak of.

Pros:
DVR system that lets you record and then watch in any room.
Record up to 4 shows at once
More stable internet (in my area vs Brighthouse)

Cons:
Slower internet even with Turbo vs cable (but still fast)
HD channels have lower quality for some reason
Less channel selection vs my Brighthouse
Worse On Demand options vs most cable

All in all I am pleased but the price has recently gone up where it is now more expensive than my cable was. I am undecided if I may give Brighthouse another shot after some of their recent upgrades in my area.

Oh one other thing. The customer support for Uverse is horrid the few times I have needed them. One being trying to order the College Football Gameplan. Took over an hr where on Brighthouse it took 30 seconds.

Thanks everyone for all the comments/opinions.

Anyone have any feedback on their wireless receiver? I will be adding a TV to my back patio eventually and may want to go this route.

Menu is definitely slow and the multiview option for things like sports is pretty worthless. You can only watch multiple channels at once if those channels fall in the sports channel range of 1600. If you want to watch multiple events and one of the games is on ABC/CBS/NBS then you are shite out of luck.

Kinda expensive as well. I pay $150 and I have the second slowest internet and the basic TV package. I do have 2 extra receivers, but you are forced to use their receiver if you want cable on any other TV. You cannot just plug in the coax and use the TV remote.

Overall tho, I am pretty happy.

Do you currently bundle your phone, internet, and tv with AT&T; and can now upgrade to UVERSE?

Reason I ask is i am fed up with Cox and looking for an alternative but didnt know what internet/phone service you used with Dish network. Not intending on hijacking, just very curious/interested in other options. Thanks

I only currently bundle home phone, internet, and cell phone with AT&T. For TV, I have Dish Network. I got an e-mail a week or so ago about Uverse being offered in my area and there are some promotions right now if I decide to bundle.

Potentially saving some money bundling it all, having the Home DVR function as well as the wireless receiver for an outside TV, it may be worth giving a try.

Seriously? I'm in south BR and am still waiting! This board has pretty much sold me on Uverse though. To this day, I've never had anything more than a basic 70 +/- channel ordeal.

This.

On Demand is the only real complaint I have. Comcast (local cable) had a ton of free movies available On Demand; Uverse has shite.

Other than that, Uverse wins for overall reliability and customer service, especially if you're bundling with internet.

The two things that are wrong with UVerse

1. Below standard HD picture quality Here is Explanation and it can vary widely depending on where you live. In Birmingham, there are some places where they suggest you can not watch more than 1-2 HD channels at a time, and it is a pixelated mess on fast moving scenes. This was not an issue with services such as DirecTV

2. ATT Customer Service is garbage, but everyone knows that
