Was worried when it was announced but it looks like it could be be really good as far as video games to movie go.

I had high hopes for this one because the Fassbender and the premise of the 1st couple games was pretty great, but this looks like just another CGI shite-Show. Can't blame Fassbender for cashing in though.

It does look cool. But I can already see this movie will be irrationally hated by this board, most of whom will never even see it. This looks worlds above such other video game movies as Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat.

I won't take a shite on it until I see it but I probably won't pay 10 bucks to sit in a theater either. This will probably a wait until it hits HBO type movie unless a better trailer drops without bullshite Kanye.

That's fine, and I hate the Kanye garbage too. But if you don't like the way this movie looks, then you just don't want to see an AC movie.
There's just been movies lately that everyone takes a dump on without seeing. Complaining about CGI is a typical reflex too. Gets tiresome.

This. It looks like it will hit on all aspects of the game that I loved. I do agree that the live action animus is kind of a pointless change.

This. It's a movie about a game that has it's protagonist jump off of structures like the Galata Tower and Castel St. Angelo into a cart of hay. They need these structures to look like they did during the Spanish Inquistion, of course they are going to rely heavily on CGI.

I think the animus makes a lot of since, in the movie there will be transitions scenes from past to present and as we see the scientist watching desmond instead of him lying on a bed doing nothing he will be active and moving around. Plus this can better explain how, when he is free of the machine, he can use skills in the present.
I think the trailer is shite and music was terrible but I think the movie will be fine. And I hope they drop references to the video games.
