Anyone watch Firefly?

I went down a wiki rabbit hole last night and ended up in Nathan Fillion's page. I like his character on Castle and saw he was best known for "Firefly" so I checked on Netflix and saw the series was on there. I burned through 3 episodes last night and really like it. Sad that it's only one season.
Anyone else watched it? I also noticed there was a movie associated with it as well so I'll watch that too I guess.

I really liked the series. Wish it had stuck around. The movie is pretty good as well.

When you're done with FireFly you need to watch the movie Serenity. It ties up a lot of loose ends on a series that was cancelled too soon. I'm not sure if Serenity is currently streaming anywhere, so you may have to find/rent it on your own.

I liked the end of the stolen medicine episode where he was trying to give back the money and the first guy says no and he'll find him and kill him so Mal kicks him into the engine. The second guy's face when he tells him to take the money was FANTASTIC!

Was the cult following developed because it was canceled so quickly?
Fwiw, I'm not a huge space sci-fi fan in general but I like this show.

its also why I do not trust Fox on anything anymore.
and jewel Staite was fine as hell.
