What was your experience like? Better the second time around? Noticed small details glanced over the first time?

Read them all in 2013 and feel like a lot of the small storylines and characters have faded on me and would like to get revamped for the upcoming season and book whenever the hell that's coming.

It's better the second time through for sure.

I re read back in 2009 for the first time, definitely better the second time through. I want to re read before Winds, but I doubt I'll find the time.

You trolling? Because this book is never getting published. Maybe after he is dead.

I caught quite a bit more on the second reading and appreciated the series a bit more as a result.

Next book isn't coming out until after Martin dies.

I'll start my re-read then

I started the books in the offseason and got to the ADWD and have kind of quit. I feel like once I read it I'm just going to hate myself for finishing the book series since the last two won't be made

First time I read. Second time I listened to the audiobooks. I'm on the road a lot so it was a good option for me. It's better the second time cause you catch all the hidden stuff that was obvious your first go round.

As a stand alone book, Storm of Swords may be one of my favorite books i've ever read. so damn good.

Hell no. Life's too short to re-read 5000 pages.

I don't think I'll attempt a re-read until Fat Man actually gives the official Winds release date announcement...

...so that'll be in 10 more years .

I'm planning on doing my reread just before winds of winter comes out. So it may be a while.
