I think it's entertaining, I don't agree with the politics, but that has never stopped me from watching something I find enjoyable. I also agree that Jeff Daniels is really good in this show.

I enjoy it. It's entertaining in a cringeworthy and eye-rolling sort of way.
The number of times that people submit the entire office to their crazy personal and relationship issues is ridiculous though, especially the female characters.

I like it, but I like most of Sorkin's shows. They were right to bring Olivia Munn's character more into the foreground. She has a lot more places to go than Allison Pill's character.

was hoping the blonde would get nekkid but she didn't
Damn that chick is hideous, Daniels is impressive as is Munn who unlike that troll below is smoking. Hate Daniels ex she is the one cast member who totally jumps the shark on her behavior.

Holy crap is that picture big enough? width=400 is your friend
and i like the show, no where near on West Wing level, but its a good Sorkin show.

Love The Newsroom. Very much looking forward to this season, but disappointed that it's the end. I think it gives a pretty good perspective on what goes into TV journalism, even if it is highly embellished with personal drama and impractical characters (Sloan Sabbiths don't exist in the real world).
It's fun to go back and watch Dumb & Dumber and remember that you're watching Will McEvoy. The two characters could not be more dissimilar.
Don Keefer is my favorite. He has a very advanced level of sarcastic wit that really resonates with me.

separate politics from entertainment.
Actually that's where this show fails. It sure as shite didn't help us out seperating the politics from ebtertinment when it constantly disparaged republicans and libertarians while giving democrats and left leaning independents a free pass. It's slanted one sided garage with an obvious agenda that doesn't care one iota about entertainment.
Imo, this show is a good watch for liberals and independents who lean left. This show would be much more popular if it trashed the shite out of everybody and that includes, libertarians, democrats and republicans. That's what would qualify as separating the politics from entertainment and helping its viewers out in that regard.

yes but so many of the Tea Party are so easily mocked because they are that ridiculous and terrifyingly zealous. And the Koch brothers political reach is truly dangerous. In the last big election, the Koch brothers financially supported a charter education bill in the state of Georgia that was deliberately written in an incredibly convoluted and longwinded manner just so the people voting on the issue would have a hard time figuring out what they were really voting for should they vote yes.
Most of my extended family are pretty conservative, and even they were appalled at such a blatantly obvious attempt at subterfuge.
No one ever remembers that Athenian democracy was brought down by a crazy group of zealots that convinced an uninformed populace to vote themselves out of their role in government.
At this point, though, I don't think there is one politician on the state or national level from any party that is worthy of admiration.

Exhibit A of somebody trying to justify and defend the one sided political slant of newsroom with a one sided political diatribe.

This is a weak hedge after that one sided diatribe against right leaning groups you posted.
