What's the boards general thoughts here.

I am 30 and finally saw this movie last week. Not sure what to make of it. I watched it but felt like I was asking myself... Wtf... Most of the time.
The timing and sequence of the movie is so bizarre

It was hilarious in a weird way

I wouldn't call it a great movie, but very entertaining

It's an interesting movie. I encourage you to read some about the various interpretations of the different events. It is actually a satire of American capitalist culture. Definitely more than just surface value there. And yeah, it's pretty fricking weird.

I tried to convince my girlfriend that it was actually a comedy and she thought I must be a psycho myself. Glad to know I'm not.

Great movie. It's worth a few watches just to catch the subtle humor and cynicism in the dialogue. Now when I watch it, I can't help but think this is bruce wayne's story if his parents weren't murdered

It's one of the greatest portrayals of high stress high greed 80s business culture ever made.

From the customers to the lawyers to the employees and corporations. Just everything.

Also, every line in the damn movie is amazing.

I'm particularly fond of Batman, a homicidal Psycho who has lost touch with reality spouting this line off to the rich dipshits talking about bullshite problemstin other countries:

Bateman: Come on, Bryce. There are a lot more important problems than Sri Lanka to worry about.
Bryce: Like what?
Bateman: Well, we have to end apartheid for one. And slow down the nuclear arms race, stop terrorism and world hunger. We have to provide food and shelter for the homeless, and oppose racial discrimination and promote civil rights, while also promoting equal rights for women. We have to encourage a return to traditional moral values. Most importantly, we have to promote general social concern and less materialism in young people.
