The prison arc went from Issue 12 to Issue 48.

I guess what I'm getting at is that it never felt like they were dragging it out in the comics. I didn't think "when the frick will they leave the prison" after every issue I read.

I hate when people use terms like this to justify an opinion. Opinions have very little to do with intelligence, I mean I know some very intelligent people that like the job Obama is doing. I don't agree with them at all but it doesn't diminish some of the brilliant things I've seen them accomplish in the past.

If you don't like it because they are never going to show the outbreak or that it is different than other Zombie fiction then you were never going to like it in the first place. Those are the two sticking plots of Kirkman's universe. That 99 percent of all Zombie fiction shows the outbreak. And the show/GN focus on the survivors the name "The Walking Dead" comes from them not the Walkers.

Thanks for clearing all of that up.

That's because the comic actually has good writing.

I agree on the repetitiveness. It feels like half the time all the directors are trying to do is find new looking zombies to kill. It's not a show I would have to watch, but I do keep up with it.
