This episode was good because you finally see the alone part and long-duration out there is finally taking a toll mentally and physically.

Do you think Jose will get sick from eating the mussels?

Jose hasn't fallen into the water yet. It's in the previews.

I was surprised he took that risk. Guess it was a calculated risk and he went for it.

Doesn't look like anyone is going home this week.

Why don't these folks have a dozen or more traps set? Dead fall, snares, fish traps, bird traps. I don't get it.

Dang. The alone part is setting in.

Seems like it occurred right with her getting nutrition regularly.

Maybe there's a relationship there. Missing nutrients destabilized your attitude, life and brain chemistry.

She had the best camp and food source of all the contestants!

David is my fav to win now. He's got the attitude. Jose is too distracted by his life/wife, which is what we were saying from Day 1.

Also, they finally showed the camp deconstruction! NICE!

David needs the money. I'm pulling for him.

I agree with both you guys that David has a real shot. I am concerned that he will get hurt or something. He's a little clumsy around water. And was there a preview of him falling in (again!)?

I thought the boat was coming for Jose when they first showed it.

And I was struck by the flat that season one only lasted 57 days or whatever. Congrats to the final four for all being there past that, though I think there is a chance Alan would still be there if needed to win.

I think David is the favorite now too. Jose second.

Alan said he had another 2 months in him. Season 1 also started later in the calendar year.

I guess I'm more money hungry & really trust my abilities/resolve more than most of these contestants. I remain baffled as to why they don't build larger camps, make more trapping devices (specifically for crab & birds/geese), & fish efficiently (can no one run a trot line, is that a legal matter?).

Guessing Nicole surely regrets not smoking all of that salmon she caught but instead let go!

Still, 50 plus days is impressive.

Oh I agree. In the 1st season, I gave myself a realistic 20-35 days. But now having watched & done some research/learning, I feel very confident to be able to last at least 60 days. Of course, this all greatly depends on the "random" location.

I quit watching this when Mike spoiled that he got knocked out on social media IMMEDIATELY after the episode, before I could watch the it next day in history.com. How is it holding up compared to S1? might watch the rest before 3 comes on just to get myself hyped.

This season is a lot more educational in terms of various styles of survival being utilized & what's not being utilized...

No one is as entertaining as Alan or that kid that got 2nd last seson.

1st season was more entertaining and later in the year. It was much colder and wetter.

Finale tonight. Won't be surprised either way. They're all capable.

I picked Jose in the beginning, but will pull for David. Larry winning would be great TV though.
