just saw it, thought it was a very solid movie. Marion Cotillard is excellent...Pitt's performance is solid.

all around good film and worth the ticket.

On another note...since most everyone that clicked on this thread is a ww2 buff, as well as myself, did you see the trailer for The Zookeeper? Looks very interesting

I thought this was terrific. It felt old-fashioned in all the right ways. Shame there appears to be no buzz.

I was thinking about seeing this but reviews are just ok. Still looks like it would be good though.

Saw it as well. Much better than the reviews indicate. Cotillard's performance really makes Pitt look mediocre when side by side.

Just watched it. Very enjoyable movie. Could've had a better ending, though.

Gave an outstanding performance.

Was good but was in Marion's shadow for most of the movie.

I agree with the poster above, it kinda just ended in the last ten minutes.

I enjoyed the movie. I would love a WWII expert to tell me how she would have been treated. She was German so she wasn't a traitor. If the British found a German spy - would they actually kill them or trade them or treat them as a POW? Movie acted like she was a traitor but she wasn't.

Routinely, spies were executed. Even the ones who turned themselves in and ratted on the other spies. Though most who turned themselves in got reduced prison sentences.

Now the traitor part was a bit fuzzy. I guess she was a traitor because she lived in England?

The wife and I watched this last night and enjoyed the entertainment value but the story could've been much more solidly written. We both thought it was more drama than suspense and that movies from that era have been done much better than this one. Also noted the 3 instances of lesbian interaction that was totally unnecessary to the story line, and would never have been public behavior in the 40s.
