Do I need to check whether Ex Machina actually came out this year?

As opposed to the visionary masterpiece Straight Outta Compton?

Seriously?

Personally, they are interchangeable, either one could be on the list as both are very good, but there are films more deserving than Straight Out of Compton.

I haven't seen every movie on the list so I'm not picking on Compton. I'm an N.W.A. fan and I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, but Ex Machina was tremendous in every phase. Casting, writing, directing, cinematography, f/x, you name it. They nailed it.

I agree. I thought it was good, but I'm not as enamored with it as others are.

Of the list, I've only seen Mad Max. That being said, I do think Ex Machina deserves to be on it.

It Follows was a top 10 movie and so was Mr. Holmes.

Mad MaX and The Martian are decent but dreadfully overrated at this point.
