It was dumb but there were laughs. Actually, Taylor Lautner cracked me up. He was hilarious.

This.

I really liked the movie.

I almost stopped it after 10 minutes, then just went with it.

This is a return to form...like Billy Madison-esque!

Lautner stole the show.

The 3 best scenes were
- Baseball
- Song at the campfire with the rest of the group
- Hanging scene

i won't even entertain the thought of watching jack and jill, but i thought some of his new movies are not nearly as bad as they are made out to be.

i'm not a big sandler fan, but i actually don't mind what he does..

i just want to know the majority of people shitting on the stuff.. if they actually watched it. ridiculous 6 was pretty bad, but i was actually able to watch it from start to finish with ease. very predictable though.. but it was worth it to see the twilight guy and the song ha..

pixels gets a lot of hate as well, but i don't think it was extremely bad.. although again, i wouldn't watch either movie more than once.. plus peter dinklage (sp?) stole that show..

that's my boy was pretty alright as well.

again, none are classics or something i would watch again.. but i would at least give the 4 out of 10.

I thought Don't Mess With the Zohan was hilarious because you have this super soldier trained Mossad assassin and he wants to be a hair stylist in America.

I will check out this one soon.

This movie was great, the best I've seen this year. A great cast with smart, witty humor. It will likely be up for an academy award of some sort.

ETA: oh crap, this isn't the thread for "The Martian"

I was actually crying during the hanging scene. I just couldn't stop laughing. It was so predictable, yet so unpredictable in execution. Lautner stole this movie.

It has its moments. John Turturro makes the movie. Like he did Mr. Deeds.

As with all Sandler movies in a long time, the script and plot are lay and Sandler is just there going through the motions, but his supporting cast is usually solid.

It is better than anything else he's done in the last decade other than CLick.

Just watched it. It was good for a low budget Netflix flick.

LOW BUDGET?!?!

It's budget was $60 million dollars.

For 60 million dollars that should've been greatness. That's huge for a comedy.

To put that in perspective, just for stupid comedies:

Grandma's boy : 25 mil
Dude, wheres my car: 13 mil
Big Lebowski: 15 million
Pinneapple Express : 27 million
Clerks: 257,575
Napoleon Dynamite: 400,000
Sean of the Dead: 6.1 Million
Waterboy: 23 million
Little Miss Sunshine: 8 million

While I agree that most of the movie was a boring setup for very predictable jokes, the jokes themselves were executed flawlessly. The hanging scene was the first time I've cried laughing at a movie since Blazing Saddles.
