It's pretty amazing how a small distribution company can put out such quality films over the past few years such as

Ex Machina
Green Room
Midsommar
Hereditary
The Lighthouse
The Disaster Artist
Eighth Grade
Mid90's
Uncut Gems

Pumped for The Green Knight next month, probably will be the first time I go back to the theater since the shutdown.

It might sound crazy but whenever I see the A24 logo before a trailer I get excited. They put out quality films. Even films of theirs I don't like I admire for being 100% original. The fact that there's a studio out there putting out original movies theatrically gives me a shimmering ray of hope for the movie industry.

I actually went to see this shite a few years back because of the sparkling RT score at the time.

One of those ones I should have walked out of 15 minutes in and got my money back.

I loved Hereditary and Midsommar on the other hand.

Some more good ones from the past few years:

The Killing of a Sacred Deer
The Florida Project
The Last Black Man in San Francisco
The Farewell
Lady Bird

A little older but Under the Skin and The Witch are some of their best.

When the credits started rolling, my theater audience mumbled loudly with all the conversations of dissatisfaction.

We felt scammed. The marketing for the movie was bullshite.

Haven't seen that one but I thought Tusk and Locke were "stinkers".

I'd love to see what they could do with $40-$60 million budgets instead of $5-$20 million budgets.

I know I'm in the unpopular minority on the MTV board when it comes to A24 films, but it's just the opposite in my home. I can't think of one they've put out that we enjoyed, or that lived up to the glittering hype/press.

Swiss Army Man, an arthouse movie based on a fart joke. How did they even come up with that??
