a short, spoiler-free review of Star Wars: TFA (seriously)

I still have another week or so before I can get away to watch it (2 year old and shite) but man, reading things like this make the wait see longer than it should be.

Let me clarify. It feels like Star Wars…the original Star Wars. I enjoy (most) of the prequels, but honestly, they don’t feel right. they’re too…computerized and false most of the time. It’s like New Coke compared to Coca-Cola Classic, sure it’s okay, but it’s just not the same. The Force Awakens feels like the original trilogy does. Yes, the tech to make the movie is better, but it has the same tone and vibe as the originals! I was not only satisfied, I was happy with and blown away by how it turned out.
I still have another week or so before I can get away to watch it (2 year old and shite) but man, reading things like this make the wait see longer than it should be.

It sucks and not just because of all the pc indoctrination. The tone is not serious enough to feel like the original trilogy. It's a kid movie with two scenes a little too graphic for kids.

It doesn't suck, it's a very good movie and did capture the feel of the original trilogy

Jesus Christ. They are in business to make money. How do you make money? Mass appeal. How best to do mass appeal? Try to appeal to different races and cultures.

It was an excellent movie. But if I were you I'd probably stay away from this thread (even though you stared it) until you see the movie. And probably away from any others about the movie on this board. It only takes one guy to spoil things for you before an admin catches it or the spoiler himself deletes it.
