So Tom Cruise should have been cast as wolverine? Got it.

5, 4 and 1 were legitimate complaints which have been discussed to death. Everything else seemed to be minor quibbles.

a 10 minute video?
How about you just summarize the crap. No one's watching that.

Not watching the video, but you must mean Wolverine is supposed to be 5' tall.
Couldn't one make the argument that the comics got it incorrect. If he can heal then his growth plates would never harden, thus he sould keep growing his whole life. Him being close to 100 years old means he should be 11 feet tall.

I'm not watcing a 10-minute video but the problem is this: the best X-Men comics are from the Claremont era from roughly 1975-1985 (it extends a bit in each direction, but that's the heydey). BUT, most people who would go to an X-Men movie are younger, and have fond memories of the more recent, and crappier, comics.
So if you're in charge of a movie studio, do you choose better stories or placating the larger audience? That's a no-brainer. You take the big audience, which means you're adapting crappier material, and the seams show in the final product. The solution, BTW, isn't adapt the Claremont stuff, because then no one will show up.

Pay close attention to point 5 and 1. Two of the most important mess ups in the movies

I've enjoyed most of the films, particularly the first class trilogy. They've been more enjoyable to me than the Marvel or DC films.

Kinda thought it would be mostly movie stuff. 9 minutes long and 90% comic book crap.

Jackman's performance and devotion to the character trump the height argument.
For everything else:
Marvel has done way more to damage the X-Men franchise than any film. It's been a convoluted mess for decades.

Well.... They were pretty bad

Spot on. The Claremont period was when I read, initially the latter half and then went back over the earlier ones. It is odd that the same stories that were so great in the books would be so challenging for movies. Or maybe not odd, but expected.

#5 has always been my biggest gripe. Cyclops had been completely shite on. He's the frickING alpha!!!
