Don't know if it's really a link. But Isaac's wife and one of his guards are turning on him. The people Isaac is meeting to get a deal done with is supposed to kill him if i'm not mistaken

This really isn't doing much for me. I love 24 but I don't buy these characters

do what you can to not compare them to the originals. it still has the original 24 feels as far as the story line goes.

Agreed. To be honest, 24 never had great writing. That's why it leaned so heavily on plot twists. We came because the real time format was unique and interesting, and we stayed because we liked Jack Bauer.
This has some clear weak elements, but I'm at least still interested in what's happening, which is honestly more than I've been able to say post season 5 of the original series (with the possible exception of Live Another Day).
