mich helment is a rip off of princeton and anything is in script is just plain ugly. i love LSU's colors/unis but hate the helment

It would be cool for nostalgia reasons, but I agree, I like the clean look.

First, any helmet that is just a solid color is not impressive to me. Wow you wear a gold helmet, how did you think outside of the box so amazingly?
Secondly, any helmet that is not unique, ie. Georgia or Michigan, is not impressive to me.
No particular order:
USC
Washington
K State
FSU
UNC
Clemson
Cal
Virginia
Washington State
LSU
Also considered:
Texas, Bama, Miami, Florida, UCLA, Colorado, Missouri, Rice, Michigan State, and Wyoming (unis ugly as frick, but their logo is pretty cool).

People really worship the Notre Dame "solid gold" helmet it seems. I get the "classic" look and whatnot, but the lack of any stripe or logo really diminish its look. I do think it's pretty cool how they re-spray the helmets with gold finish before each game though.
I liked the helmets they wore with the clover on them.

Actually Wolverines should be in the top 10 for sure. They did design the winged helmet. I thought Delaware actually did.

Fritz Chrisler invented it and used it on his team at Princeton. Next year he brought it to Michigan.

Agreed but I think if you like the Bama helmet, you like the old school styles. PSU is as old school as it gets

I should be more clear-- I am talking about more modern helmets. A leather helmet is not the same as a shell helmet.

Before Pinkel and company took a dump on the helmets, the MU Helmet with White M, was sharp. While pictures might not do it wonders, in person, it was sharp as hell.
