Who's headed up (or down) to Chicago Tuesday-Thurs?

I'm scouring the interwebs for hotel options right now.

If we play NY, i'll be going to a game there. Going to save the trip to chicago for if we make it to the WS.

Might be a dumb question but I'll ask anyway. Why is there so much support for the Cubs in Louisiana?

The answer will typically be WGN. Will be interesting to see if that changes now that they're not on wgn america.

for me it had a lot to do with the Sosa/McGuire race and then Todd Walker, Ryan Theriot, Mike Fontenot, DJ.

I grew up as LSU as my baseball team. MLB was more of an after thought but slowly I started to watch and that was what I could watch and my LSU guys were there. It just stuck

I'm intrigued by this. So you can only be a non-bandwagon fan if you're from Chicago?

If you hoped on the bandwagon 20 years ago...are you forever a bandwagon fan? Does it end? What if you weren't a fan, but then moved to the city and became a fan? What about if you grew up there, but then moved to say Houston, do you then forgo your cub fandom?

I watched them on WGN as far back as I can remember. I have been a Cubs fan my entire life

WGN and just as important, day games.
Summer days watching the Cubs was a staple for me as a kid.

That started when I was like 7. I'm 34 now.

I also think Harry Carey as the voice was huge. He was so unique it was infectious. He was like a real life cartoon character and I know kids loved him. I sure did.

I grew up in Mississippi and there were tons of Cubs games on during the summer on WGN. I loved Sosa and Mark Grace and being able to watch them every other day on television. As a kid playing baseball, that was the primary sport to watch and play before I became addicted to college football. And being in rural Mississippi, there's no MLB team in state or in a surrounding state.

I have no ties to Chicago. If that makes me a bandwagoner, then so be it.

There are a lot of folks like this. But let's also be honest, there will be a lot of marginal Cubs fans that rekindle that support this week. It's all for fun though, so as long as someone doesn't try and lecture other fans about it, who cares.

Lets hope so. With every tshirt sold my dream of landing david price becomes a touch more realistic.

But seriously, you do need these fans, they're the difference between good attendance and great attendance, and anything that makes the team richer in what looks like an NL central arms race for years to come is ok in my book.

In.

I'm entitled to 1.5 tickets for this next series, so I'll likely use one ticket and then my buddy and I will combine our halves and sell that third ticket and split the profit.

I live a half hour away from Wrigley, but will stay home.

Yelling at my neighbors and people on the block after every hit/K/HR throughout these playoffs so far has been awesome.

I've been to the 2007 & 2008 NLDS and it was too much for me. I need to be home, so I can go apeshit on demand
