I don't know if I would describe Randy Savage as an "athlete".

athletes doing something =/= sport.

Michael Jordan eats hot dogs.
Michael Jordan is an athlete.
Competitive eating is not a sport.
See how that works?

This is absurd. Those guys are definitely "athletes", but Pro Wrasslin is definitely not a sport.

Alot of these guys were former football players.

Tito Santana and Ted DiBiase played college football at some Texas school. (I think West Texas State?)

Curt Hennig and Bret Hart were two of the best athletes in the ring in their time...TONS of technique and agility.

And Wrestling IS a sport...(see South Park episode comment.) but this Sports Entertainment crap that is going on today is NOT.

Suplexes, Elbows from the Top Rope, Leap Frogs and Flying Cross-Bodies are ATHLETIC moves.

Rolling Athletic moves into a predetermined outcome/Spouting your mouth off on a microphone = Sports Entertainment, which most definitely is not a sport.
