Would Phil be crazy to take on Melo and the Knicks?

For the record, I can't stand Carmelo Anthony. He is a ball hawg, me first player who only cares about his stat line and getting his shots. When he doesn't, it's everybody's fault but his own and he isn't a stranger to whine about it.
Having said that, he has a lot of skill as a basketball player. He obviously has a problem listening to coaches as well (Mike D'Antoni, George Karl).
As brilliant as Phil Jackson is, do you think it could tarnish his reputation by trying to take on the team they have in New York now? Amare is fading, but his contract has them there for a while..good luck unloading that one. Lin would do well under Phil's system and is very coachable. Melo is the big questions mark, however. I don't see him ever changing.
Thoughts?

as long as Melo is there, they will fail
so if Im Phil, no way unless Carmello goes

Not crazy but foolish. At Age 66, holding 2 NBA titles as a player, holding 11 NBA titles as a coach (Record) & already having had some different health issues, it's just not worth it to come back & be dropped into the grinder of NY with Melo & that roster.

It would be crazy because he's in constant pain and can barely walk at this point. He's done. He just can't do it.
