I don't follow women's BB very much but I got tired of getting vague notifications regarding drama around Mulkey and apparently her claiming something about sexism today so I read this threads in hopes of having better understanding of what's going on

If anything now I'm even more confused

Lol

Cliffs:

Washington Post been working on profile piece of Mulkey for 2 years without Mulkey

Mulkey went on offensive railing article as hit piece in presser week ago

LSU advances to sweet 16 vs UCLA

UCLA beat writer for LA Times releases random good vs evil / America’s sweethearts vs its dirty debutantes in day before matchup

Washington Post releases nothing burger profile piece behind paywall

LSU beats UCLA

Mulkey goes off on LA Times article

Now LSU will rematch vs Iowa in Elite 8 on Monday night, which will likely set records as most watched NCAAW game ever

Thanks that's helpful

Idk much about Mulkey at all other than she seems to find a way to draw a lot of attention for whatever reason. I know people talks about what she wears coaching a lot but I couldn't care less about that

I went in chronological order.

LSU advanced to Sweet 16 where they played UCLA.

They beat UCLA and advanced to Elite 8 where they will rematch vs Iowa.

Was that not clearly all USC's hand on the review?

Basketball really needs to do something about the end of game. The last minute of this one has zero flow and is interrupted by breaks every 5 seconds of gameplay.

The women's selection Committee was arse.

Iowa and LSU meeting in the Elite 8 shows how they can't sell a product. Everyone knew this at the least a Final Four matchup before the wonky seedings.

How were you gonna give LSU a 1 seed?

Looked like they had no faith in LSU being able to come out of any of the other brackets and make the F4 so wanted to force the matchup.

Is it odd that all 4 elite 8 games are 1 seeds vs 3 seeds?

They should have been a 2 seed.

2 Seeds:
Notre Dame (26-6) - 1 loss to #1 USCe
AP - 9
Coach - 10
NET - 7

Stanford (28-5)
AP - 4
Coach - 5
NET - 4

UCLA (25-6)
AP - 6
Coach - 8
NET - 6

Ohio State (25-5)
AP - 7
Coach - 9
NET - 9

3 Seed:
LSU (28-5) - 2 Losses to #1 USCe
AP - 8
Coach - 6
NET - 8

Committee should have pushed for seedings to where a final four of USCe, Uconn, LSU, and Iowa was a possibility.

At least put them in another bracket.

Gave South Carolina a cakewalk and put Iowa in the most difficult bracket by far.

Final coaches poll, #10 Notre Dame is the #2 seed in South Carolina's bracket..

Meanwhile Coaches Poll, #2 Iowa, #6 LSU and #8 UCLA are all in the same bracket.
