“I definitely wouldn’t call them soft,” said Taggart.

“With our team, I felt like we were weak, we’re a weak football team from a physical standpoint, strength-wise,” Taggart said. “Just looking at the numbers in the weight room, we’re not as strong as I would like our football team to be or you would think a Power 5 football team would be.

Yeah, we're soft.

This guy might be on to something. Thought the MSB could use some Duck troll fodder.

I'm liking Taggart'e take. He's not sugarcoating anything. If you want to play, get big. If not, you'll be replaced with guys that want/are big.

I think Helfrich might've cried asked the same question.

Last year's play was a spitting image of coach Helfrich.

It's like the full spreads, you have to get more athletic, which can lead to smaller/softer kids to run them. And since teams go 3 and out in literally under a minute, you have to go undersized on defense to be able to stay on the field.

This hurt Big12 Defenses, going athletic/smaller over big and physical. Ur defense is going to be on the field a lot, so you need guys who can stay out there.

Taggart's spread is more power run oriented and Leavitt likes space eaters up front. I do like the emphasis of the new staff.
