That time of year again, where I ask my fellow Red Sox fans if they think Boston will finish above .500?

Why, Why not?

Should have 90+ wins unless they get leveled by injuries or something

Kind of hoping they stumble so Farrell gets canned.
If Price gives us anything we should be over .500 bc Sale is the Ace Price may end up as the 3 in the rotation
Really hope Kimbrel gets his shite together as well. Thornburg would be great if his shoulder cokes back strong

He should've been set on fire at the end of last season. He is a pure shite.

Assuming they aren't hit with the plague for the rest of the year, yes.

I really don't know much about his in-game management, but he won a WS series a few years ago and led them to 93 wins last year. Seems unreasonable to be firing the manager in that situation.

As for the Red Sox, they have one of the best rosters in baseball, so unless the wheels fall off in some unforeseen way, I imagine they will be comfortably north of .500.

He makes some puzzling/bad decisions sometimes, but show me a manager who doesn't. I won't go to bat for him, but I will ask the people who want him gone what manager do you think you can get?

I do remember him letting a pitcher bat late in a World Series game that was really baffling. But overall, I don't think baseball managers in-game decisions have that much impact on a team. Leading and motivating players probably has a bigger impact, and there is no way for us to judge that.

Above .500? Very, very likely.

Over 90 wins? I'd say no.

I don't think it'll take 90 wins to win the AL East, though.

92 wins in 1998 and still 22 games back. Damn.

Dumbo has depleted the farm system of talent leaving no room for injuries or sickness. The Travis Shaw trade was horrendous, the Price signing was horrendous, and the Pomeranz trade might be the worst, and the Kimbrell trade is shaky at best with him giving heart attacks every time out.

I seriously don't see how the team gets to 90 wins like everyone is saying without a lock down bullpen...Which now they have no way to aquire.

The only benefit I could see from a very poor start is that we finally get rid of that moron Farrell. But who the hell knows who our fantastic GM will replace him with.

Not that it matters. We are going to lose to the Indians or Dodgers.

This year, the answer was yes.

And this year they even have a division title to show for it.
