Will John Groce be retained at Illinois?

After 5 seasons, he's 37-53 with the Illini in conference and barely over .500 overall at 95-74. This is the premier university in the 5th largest state in the country, containing one of the most basketball rich cities in the world:Chicago. Illinois' AD needs to whip out the check book and hire someone who can get these kids out of Chicago

I feel like Illinois football and basketball programs should be much more competitive than what they are. Groce needs to go.

Illinoisnis a little like Georgia. Sure, they're the "home school," but there are so many Ohio St, Michigan St, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Missouri fans, Illinois gets left in the dust

I have a friend who is a big Illini hoops fan and he's done with him. This loss may have tipped the balance for him.

My Illinois alum friends have said they expect him to get another year to keep a good upcoming recruiting class together, but I agree.
Today was a bubble bursting type of loss against a horrible team.
