boy are you wrong. I guess since baseball sucks in Kentucky you think it's like that everywhere. baseball is bigger than the nba, always has been bigger than basketball and always will be. sure, basketball is big where it's cold but not in the south or the southwest.
MLB reached an 8-year, $12.4 billion dollar deal with ESPN, FOX, and Turner. Awesome, right?
The NBA just reached a 9-year, $24 billion dollar deal with ESPN and Turner.
That should tell you where the leagues are trending...

Ok...but doesn't the NBA have at least twice the number of playoff games as MLB?
Personally I don't care. Baseball is very healthy. Judging by what you've posted so is the NBA. But the 2x thing seems to cut both ways, no?

Baseball has 2x the number of regular season games, which means more revenue.
When I was talking about playoff numbers, I'm talking about average viewers per game. So it doesn't matter that more teams in the NBA make the playoffs.
