Because the conference that they show already have individual networks that have the shows? Idk

Thinking about how SEC network travels to a specific game each week.

Years ago before the SEC Network, Finebaum asked Tim Brando why CBS didn't have a Gameday type show at the CBS SEC game of the week. It seemed like a no brainer. Brando's response was "It costs money to turn on those cameras," which I found to be a lame answer considering that is literally what commercials are for.

I think for awhile, CBS was doing the bare minimum with their SEC coverage and now it's obviously too late to something like that.

At least then CBS would have an excuse for showing 489 billion commercials and turning games into damn near 5 hour affairs.

B1G network started doing one this year, B1G tailgate. Think it's an hour and a half or so a week

If I had to guess it's more about those networks having other quality programming in those time slots.

I mean, IMO, it's probably shitty content that I hate, but other than that I have nothing.

ESPN considers itself a full-time sports network so it makes sense for them, but CBS and NBC have 'Sports' channels and I assume that's what they consider the equivalent.
