Why isn't Brad Nessler calling the NCAA games?

Nessler is the poor man's Nantz, which is the reason CBS hired him in the first place.

I read something that said that the crews for the NCAA games were already set before he was hired. Seems silly considering Nessler is basically CBS' top college guy and they are paying him a lot to sit on the sidelines.

It was determined before he was hired by CBS and I mean I'm sorry, but kick a guy like Carter f'ing Blackburn off of the list.
And you can move Brian Anderson down to get him into the sweet 16. It is not that hard. I like him more than Nantz but Nantz is too highly regarded, you're not going to get him off of the big events.
Nantz does fit more with golf. He doesn't fit with any exciting sports.

Glad to see that so many of you feel that way about Jim Nantz, whose play by play is mediocre.
Hopefully, Nessler will be the man next season.
I have always thought Curt Gowdy and Dick Enberg in their prime were head and shoulders above Nantz.

Nantz was still a snoozefest even when teamed with Packer, Kellog, Kerr, or anyone else. He is the most overrated announcer in sports other than Michaels or Enberg. It's time to promote Nessler or Harlan. They are so much better.
