Why do you simpletons get offended by LeBron being great?

The fact that another basketball player is amazing doesn't invalidate your childhood. Just because LeBron has a case to be the GOAT doesn't mean your life is a lie and you were molested by your pastor.
Learn to appreciate greatness rather than be offended by it.

Because most of them spent so long saying he wasn't that they've anchored themselves to that position. They can't accept they were wrong about him.

I think it has a lot to do with his arrogance. coming into the league as a rookie and being the proclaimed "king" rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.

How rare is it that someone lives up to that hype though? That's what is so amazing about him. If he ended up like Michael Beasley or something I could see it but he's surpassed everyone's expectations.

I don't see why he's always compared to others like MJ or even magic. It's just pissing matches that have no true point and dissolve into flame wars.
We won't see a player of his caliber in his prime for a while and it should be celebrated imho.

It's similar to the people that still hate Les Miles. They are so invested in a particular stance that no evidence to the contrary can sway them else they admit themselves wrong. They'd rather be miserable than do that. But frick 'em. Meanwhile, the rest of us get to enjoy.
