I went to a Cubs game at Wrigley last year. Nice but Fenway and Boston have it beat by a large margin. WGN is the answer to the question.
No shite Fenway did a major renovation and the Cubs are still fighting with Chicago over when they can start theirs.

I grew up falling asleep in front of the TV watching Cubs day games on WGN with my grandfather.
To this day, Andre Dawson is still my all-time favorite player...those jheri curls were legit.

There used to be another channel like TBS and WGN that showed Mets games everywhere.

Mets games were on WWOR-TV from their inception. WPIX/Yes for Yanks, NESN for Red Sox, WTBS for Atl, WGN for Cubs-Wh Sox, and KTLA for Angels, and Dodgers too for a while. If your family had a big dish in the 1970s/1980s, and you were a baseball fan, it was like having MLB-tv ahead of it's day.
Nawlins had WGN with Cubs/Sox even circa 1979-1980..remember watching it. BR soon followed. Astros were late to the jump for tv distribution, thus why so many Cubs and Braves fans in a relative Astro region. Many Grandfathers were oft St.Louis Card fans due to radio signal, Gas House Gang's Dean's southern roots,etc.. and Miss river/middle America proxy before MLB expanded into the Sunbelt.
Young kids today don't know how good they have things. Coming home after 3PM as a grade schooler to catch tape delayed or no tv at all for NLDS games between Pirates-Reds,etc..Or watching even the 1980 NBA Title between Lakers-Sixers on late night tape delay..
Many folks only MLB games were NBC's Saturday Gm of The Week or ABC's Monday Night Baseball..
In the late 1970s, the cocks@cking major networks would put 'Battle of the Network Stars' doing wheel-barrow races and swimming races on in primetime, but often not the NBA or MLB Playoffs!

When the Dbacks played the Cubs in PHX during their first year, 3/4th's of the fans would wear Cubs gear. It was nuts.

It's not just New Orleans, cubs fans outnumber Stros fans in minute maid when they come to town.

I went to Coors last year when the Cubs came to town. Both games it was packed with Cub fans. Prolly 60/40 Rockies to Cubs

back in the early 80's, I'd get home from school and watch the Cubs .
