If Saints don't win the SB, I hope Dallas wins just to watch the MSB burn. And so we can be done with the "Romo chokes in big games" storyline.

It's a lot simpler if you just say it goes to the team with the best conference record

And I think Detroit beats Green Bay in week 17 to take the NFC north and finish 12-4. I have no idea what that does for the tiebreaker

When I put Lions over Packers in my playoff machine, Lions get the 2 seed. Packers get the 6.

I'm assuming Seattle would be the 1 seed then? If GB had to go to the Dome I could see NOLA taking that one. I just don't believe in GBs defense

Saints would still get Cardinals. GB goes to Dallas.

Incorrect. Per ESPN Playoff Machine.

False.

They beat them.

Secondly, under the scenario I said, Detroit would win the North.

Dallas is the 1 seed if they end up tied with Seattle and Detroit.

Here you go.

Try to make Dallas the one seed. Click on "tiebreakers" when you're done and it will explain the tiebreakers.

ETA: I love when someone's overconfident about something they don't understand.

This link will help, as well.

I know there's a way that Dallas can be the one, involving Detroit winning the North.

And Dallas does hold the tiebreaker over Seattle, so you're wrong there.

Uh, Dallas definitely has the tiebreaker directly with Seattle. They went up there and beat them.

That win doesn't mean anything if Lions or Packers get to 12-4. Seattle will still get the 1 seed.

That's cool.

Your initial statement was still wrong.

Fine. We were both wrong. I was thinking in the grand scheme of the playoffs. Either Packers or Lions will go 12-4. Cowboys don't hold the tiebreaker over Seattle in that scenario, i.e. real life.

Yeah.

Likely either Detroit or Green Bay gets to 12 wins, but not 100%. Probably an 82.3333% chance.

Still reallyyyyy hoping that Arizona beats Seattle and Detroit beats Green Bay.

Having Arizona and Detroit as the top two seeds would make for one incredible Wildcard game (Green Bay @ Dallas).

And also, the Saints would get Seattle at home. And if they win that game, they'd have a decent shot to win their next game as well.

shite, if Green Bay beats Dallas, the Saints could host the NFC Championship Game.

A man can dream.

Well now I feel bad.

If the Seahawks and Packers lock up those top spots, the other 4 NFC teams are screwed.
