He can go 9-20 in his first game and everyone will still be on his dick. Who was that qb last year that would throw a lame duck 5 yards short, the wr would have to come back to get it and announcers would say he threw that way intentionally.

Tannehill didn't start at QB for A&M until midway through his junior year. Since that point he put up good numbers against OK - terrible teams and then threw 3 interceptions in big games like LSU, Oklahoma, Texas and Oklahoma St..... Yeah, he's a polished QB alright.
He's just the product of a conference that doesn't play any defense. Weeden, Jones, Griffin, Doege and Tannehill all had over 3,700 yards passing... That's almost half of a conference that has "statistical badasses" on their teams. And the defenses they face? All Big 12 defenses averaged giving up over 3,000 passing yards in a season and giving up over 28 points a game.
So how do you justify spending a top 10 pick on a guy that is considered "above average at best" for his conference?
