All of the good soccer players that I knew growing up were also typically good at other sports. However, they were usually a little too small to play basketball or football at the varsity level (at my 5A public high school).

Soccer players shorter than basketball players and smaller than football players? I don't buy that for a second.

These dudes are ripped and could play in at least the D-League.

not even close.

Did you play sports growing up. And i do'nt mean on the nintento, i mean outside, shoot a basketball, throw and catch a football/baseball, kick a ball? Seems like you might have zero athletic ability, and therefor it is difficult for you to relate to the comment you made.

You guys are super sensitive this morning. I'm just pointing out the consensus opinion of the MSB.

ETA: FWIW, I think we've come to the conclusion that NBA players, on average, have the most crossover potential in the other major sports.

If you think those guys had even the slightest chance of even sniffing a dleague court you are mildly retarded and seriously underestimate just how talented the D-League is.

While Im sure these guys are great soccer players and very athletic in their own rights, their basketball skills are subpar. They qould fit right in at your local Rec Gym.

If even an average D-League player came into the local Rec Gym, he would absolutely dominate and it wouldnt even be close.

Kinda this. Oh and all the D-League guys are like 6'8'' plus and most soccer guys are more in the 5'10'' to 6'1'' range with some exceptions

I have multiple friends who would destroy both of those guys and their sloppy handles.

Keep in mind that the NBA is my favorite American sport, and the Premier League is my favorite league. These guys are world class athletes, but they aren't good basketball players and would be humiliated in the D-league.

The problem is soccer is boring, not that they aren't good athletes.

Lol they're great athletes but from what I just saw they wouldn't stand out at the LSU urec. You saying they could play in the D Leagues is just as bad as people saying they aren't great athletes.

Those two guys are phenomal athletes, but they would fare as well in pro basketball as a pro basketball player would in pro soccer.

They both look like they are garbage at basketball and would not make most high school teams.

I've never heard anyone say soccer players aren't great athletes.
I've heard tons of people that soccer is an extremely boring game.
The two concepts are not mutually exclusive.

5 upvotes and 137 down votes. The MSB has spoken and deemed they're top athletes.

But there are people here that say they aren't. By your own stats, approximately 10%. That's more than nobody.
5+137 =142------5/142=0.0351 OR 3.51%. I'm not sure whetr you got 10% but 3.5% is a pretty small number. I mean 3.5% of the population has an IQ of 73 or below so it's not surprising that a small number of people have an illogical view.
