Yea but LSU can play with anyone in the country

Do people say this based solely on playing Kentucky close? Maybe it's because there are obviously a ton of LSU homers here, but who has LSU beaten to make people say they can play with anyone?

LSU's best wins are against WVU (very good win) in December, UGA/Ole Miss and Arky? Arky is good, but I don't think UGA Ole Miss are anything to write home about.

OSU had a similar season (a couple good wins, some bad losses), and I think they will be lucky to beat VCU, and have a feeling Zona is going to boatrace them if they win their first game.

Dayton Flyers

1st round is in Dayton, Ohio VS Boise St = W
2nd round is in Columbus, Ohio VS Providence = W
3rd round is in Columbus, Ohio VS Oklahoma = W

Dayton has been here before beating Ohio State in last years tournament. Dayton will have a home game for 3 games in a row. Dayton wont be afraid. Take the Flyers!!

It's the match ups, brah. Of course Arizona would kill both OSU and LSU but LSU doesn't have to play Arizona.

I like Georgia St a lot but I think they got a tough matchup with Baylor.

More times than not Kansas has exceeded their seeds expected # of wins. everyone just remembers 2005 and 2010 and thinks Kansas is prone to upset. They forget Bill Self has made more than 4 elite eights in his 10+ NCAAT appearances.

I don't think we do much this year for a variety of reasons, though. We aren't really that good, honestly. The tournament resume is really strong and they deserved either the last 2 seed or a 3 seed but it just doesn't feel like it when you watch them. You don't watch Kansas this year and think "that's a championship quality team."

Wichita state in the second round is just awful. They are a top 15 team by all accounts and they got the exact match up THEY wanted. Kinds bullshite IYAM. Then notre dame, then Kentucky? I just don't see anything great happening on paper with that path.

Reasons to like them? No one else does. That worked in 2012. They have won like 12 games or something against tournament teams. Good teams too, so they will be ready to play against anyone. Wichita state, for example, is facing the third best team they have played all year with Indiana in round 1. Kansas has played literally 20 games tougher than Indiana.

There is a decent chance they don't even play Wichita state or notre dame and get good match ups. It's the tournament, who knows? I certainly wouldn't write them off, but it could easily be another 1 weekend tournament.

I have no clue why they're a popular pick. They're very small and struggle to score and play in a god awful conference. Our starting PG is one inch shorter than their center.

SFA is very good who won a 12-5 game last year.

Buffalo is unproven but gave Kentucky a heck of a game early.

Wyoming won the conference tourney of a good conference

People that are picking them aren't looking at stats or history they just are picking random upsets because it's "cool."
