Kevin Greene, followed by Haley.

No doubt this. I love to know the reasoning why Greene keeps getting passed over.

I think Greene is hurt from playing for too many teams.

Davis doesn't belong, IMO

That blocking scheme just generates more production for backs. Davis did it. His successors were virtually as successful. Arian Foster has done it. It's a pretty well known fact that it happens.

How many teams did Deion and Jerry Rice play for?

ETA. Greene was a sack machine, and like Rickey Jackson, always lined up on the TE side of the ball, and did it on grass and turf.

Since it is the Pro Football HOF, and not the NFL HOF.

Hershel Walker
- 137 career TDs and over 25,000 total yards
- 13,787 career rushing yards 115 TDs
- most rushing yards in a single season 2,411
- 4,000 yards in the NFL three different ways (rushing, returns, receiving)
-He is the only NFL player with a 90+ yard reception, 90+ yard run and a 90+ yard kickoff return in one season ('94)
- 18,168 total combined NFL yards, ranking him 2nd on the NFL's all-time leaders in total yardage as of his retirement

Im not saying he shouldnt be in. Just explaining why. He is kind of overlooked because he changed teams so much late in his career.

If the ZBS was the reason players put up hoF type numbers, then every team in the league would be running it

Okay. So if it's not the scheme, then what is it? Admittedly consistency along the line and staff helps. But when you can literally plug in another guy and watch him go for 1,000+ yards with nary a hiccup, that's an indicator that it's probably not the back that is the chief driver of those results. I guess if you want to argue it's the line I'm not going to battle you too hard, but what they do is as important as who they are.

And more teams use zone blocking or at least concepts from zone blocking than you might expect.

Charles Haley and Ken Stabler aren't in the HoF because they were dicks to the media and no other reason.

Gradishar isn't in because he wasn't flashy and just showed up and did his job without being an attention whore. Dude was a tackling machine though. 14 tackles a game for his career. Unreal production.

Dude was a fricking beast on Tecmo Super Bowl. I wrecked shop with him blitzing off the edge of using Ronnie Lott to ballhawk on 3rd & long.

100% agree. Unbelievable Greene isn't in. I mean, 3rd all time in sacks. More sacks than Lawrence Taylor, and a ton of other hall of famers.

Sacks weren't recorded as a stat until 1982. So Rickey Jackson's first year sacks are not counted for instance.

Really has nothing to do with Greene needing to be in. Every other eligible person in the top 9 of sacks is in the HOF, and they all started after 1982.
