I am 49 and have seen every one since I could remember. However, I have started thinking of other things to do during the Super Bowl the last couple of years. I told my wife and family last year that I was out of Super Bowl festivities next year. No one believed me of course.

My interest peaks in the playoffs during AFC/NFC Championship games. I hate the 2 week wait. I hate the media build-up. I am not into watching commercials. The half time show is always cheesy.... So I will be going for a nice 5 mile run tomorrow afternoon during the game.

Of course if the Saints were still in you could throw all out the window

Good point...will be done in an hour and will need to fill in another 4 hours with something. Perhaps I can start reading Game of Thrones or do something in the garage.

I'm a moron and booked my return flight from a work trip to get in around 8pm CT tomorrow. So not by choice, but I'll be missing most all of the game

I love when I heard "Super Bowl isn't the same without the saints" from dumb fans

Getting more out of the super bowl if your team is in = dumb.

this makes no sense. you're skipping out on a good time just to say that you did? it's pretty easy to go to a super bowl party and have a good time. you dont have to watch the game

The Super Bowl is an excuse for all my friends to get together and have a good time on a Sunday night so there's no way if miss it. Last year I didn't pay much attention since the matchup bored me but I'm pumped for this year's.

I see how you would think that. However, the get together is always at my In-laws house. I love them and all but they don't drink and its like watching game with the Brady Bunch.

What you should do is tell your wife you're going on a long run during the game but she should go to her parents house and enjoy it. Once she's gone you can go over to the liquor store, grab some beer/whiskey and then head over to your buddy's house and have a great time.

I havent been into the superbowl coverage and everything this year but im still going to watch the game. Just drink with your friends and have a good time, you dont have to watch a second of the game to do that. I'm certainly not going to be pulling hard for either team or really into the game.

I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to go watch it with my friends up here or stay at home and watch it. All my friends here are Seahawks fans

I watch, but for me mostly it's about the commercials.
I do think the weather will make this one more entertaining though.

I'm sure I'll watch some of it, but I'm really not that interested in it.
