I always thought it was awesome that he went up there, on the rubber and fired a perfect strike. I'm sure he probably had tons of people saying it wasn't a good idea to even go out there.

He was warming up and they asked if he was going to throw it from the mound or the grass. He asked what he should do and they told him he'd get booed if he didn't throw it from the mound. Love the walk off.

I don't care what your political allegiances are, whether or not you like him, but President Bush II was a fricking boss.
I can't imagine what it must have been like for him to be the President during the most deadly terror attack in US History. I also can't imagine what it must have felt like to stand on the mound of Yankee Stadium and have thousands of eyes fixed on you, and people chanting USA USA, and not become emotional. shite that was emotional to watch.
