Who else is just not ready for the NBA to take over television?

This is a week I always dread, when I surf the channels and see less "classic" football games, less football content, in favor of NBA openers. Games that actually end up more meaningless than even a FCS vs BPS match up in college football.
Ugh!

NCAA needs to tell the big conferences to put better games in October. November is setting up to be awesome for football, but NCAAFB has been total crap so far.

I can't disagree with that, but it is Espn who schedules these things to work out best for them.
I just hate it, and it really breaks my groove. I love basketball, played it, but goddamn this is the first of 80 games. I am not learning anything about any of these teams

You have no heart.
Eta: The Wiz just scored an exciting one point win 87-86 over the mighty Orlando Magic!
I mean, who gives a flying $$$$? Most experts have 90% of the playoff teams pointed out correctly in the preseason, and if someone sneaks into the playoffs, they aren't winning a conference, or an NBA title.

I'm losing some interest in the NBA too. Season too long.
College football, MLB, college basketball.
It goes in cycles, though. In ten years I'll like other things.

Yeah I'm not ready for it either and I don't like how they started their season on the first day of the World Series. Basketball seems like it never ends.

If the NBA did, that'd be what the haters would latch onto.
It's ridiculous

Yeah, it is. It's extremely boring, especially in October.

Don't wanna look at anything other than college football.
Even porn time is down.

Look, I can understand a Spurs fan being excited, and defensive against a thought like this. I can. But it isn't that interesting in October to know that the same teams that begin as the favorites, end up as the winners... Almost all the time.
