Why is Kobe so funny?

I guess you missed the Smush Parker days?

I have no idea what you're even talking about if you disagree with those 3, to be honest.

Don't forget Chirs Mihm and Luke Walton.

great roster there, certainly not a trainwreck or a disaster.

Kobe quitting in a game 7, it's so laughable for me to even insinuate that roster was a disaster

For the 3 years that the Lakers were a disaster after Shaq left, Kobe was definitely a top 5 player (probably a top 2 player, honestly) and they played sub .500 basketball.

Which is not that different than what Love is doing now.

They had an above .500 record every year but one, and every year with Phil.

And what did the Lakers do in the Playoffs in the "Smush Parker days"?

That roster was terrible. They did have Lamar Odom, though.

Who was the coach of that team?

How about Owner/GM?

Kobe was also in his prime. Love's not really there yet.

And BTW...Smush's Parker's numbers that year were better across the board than Rubio's this year.

2004-2007

121-125

Kobe was arguably the best player in the league.

Love is not in his prime yet and his only being suggested as a top 5 player.

this certainly isn't true.

PER, WS/48, and a few others for starters.

The record looks bad because of the non phil jackson season.

Kobe won games in the playoffs with a worse supporting cast. Love can't even make the playoffs.

Didn't miss any point. You were saying that Love's numbers are overrated on his team... So in 04-05 Kobe wasn't one of the top players in the league even though he averaged 27, 6, and 6 on a bad team?

Give Kevin Love the greatest coach of all time then we can talk. (FYI I am in no way saying Love > Kobe)

It isn't a coincidence though that Kobe can't do much in the playoffs without Phil Jackson and either a future hall of fame big man (Shaq) or a borderline future hall of famer (Gasol).

This is Kevin Love's 6th year in the NBA.

I'm going to ignore last year, since he was mostly injured.

I'm also going to ignore his first two years, since he was only a part-time starter.

2010-2011 Minnesota T'Wolves

Starters
Love
Darko
Wesley Johnson
Ridnour
Beasley

-
2011-2012 T'Wolves

Starters
Love
Pek
Wesley Johnson
Ridnour
Martell Webster

And I'm not even going to mention the bench for these teams. Highlighted by Johnny Flynn, Bassy Telfair, Wayne Ellington, Anthony Randolph, etc.

You seriously think this is worse than

Smush Parker
Kobe
Luke Walton
Odom
Kwame Brown

With a bench of

Sasha Vujacic
Brian Cook
Devin George
Chris Mihm

Its not close.

They almost beat Phoenix in the 1st round one year.
