Which team is truly the greatest? (NBA Playoffs Hype Thread)

For 82 games individuals clasp hands,
interlocking their fates with one another. They attempt to touch glory by convincing themselves it’s just an arms length away.
Upon discovering the near-impossibility of perfection, these stubborn men double their efforts:
every loose ball,
each hopelessly distant shot,
the slightest crack in the defense
— all chances to get one inch closer to that idea known by all, but realized by few. Along the way every conceivable strategy will be applied. Maturation versus acquisition versus evolution.
Count up all the statistics. Figure the records and the honors, then consider the standings and account for the streaks. The numbers will fuel discussion and simple discussion will spark fiery debate. But words and wishes do not reflect the sum of the season.
Sixteen teams will take their complete experiences, the short memories, the long ambitions, to places just like this:
- built solely for the amplification of athletic achievement. Every seat will be filled, every move will be watched, and when the final shot is taken, and the games end, we will have our answer.
We will see mighty teams fall, and hear victors praised. But we will learn the meaningfulness of those accolades precisely matches their exclusivity, and as such only one word matters.
Only one worth believing.
Only one truly defines greatness:
CHAMPION
Good luck to everyone's squads! May the best team win

Despite the Pistons absence, this really is the best time of year. Can't wait.

I'm really excited. Every team in the West has really earned the right to be here. And after 82 games, I'm sure tons of people would rank the teams differently. The 7 game series. What a beautiful way to decide the champion.

Hawks gonna breeze for that 2015 championship
I'm thinking a total of 3 losses throughout the playoffs, but that's me being conservative...

My pick is the Spurs to win it all.
But who cares the Pels are in.

I root for the Spurs because they are basically the Patriots of the NBA.

Hawks always get out on nba tv in the playoffs. Doesn't matter with this series though .

Let's go Cavs! I'll be at the Q Sunday afternoon

I think it's possible for them to steal that first one. It's going to be an early game. The fans won't be quite as rowdy as the usual night time games. It's a chance for them to punch them in the mouth off guard, similar to the Hornets vs Lakers a few years ago.

Love the playoffs regardless, but it really is a shame that teams like OKC miss the playoffs when I'd pick them in a series against seeds 4-8 in the East.
